Quiet location close to the 2 Vougliameni beaches. Easy to reach by public transport: tram from Athens Syntagma up to Voula, then bus. Good solution for a short beach stay between ferry and plane/bus.
Extremely high charges for phone calls from hotel rooms (at least 10times more than from a public phone).

The location is excellent. Breakfast was pretty good.
Bathroom really small. Carpet & curtains old & seem as they were dirty. Room needs renovation! There is a balcony on the 6th floor with excellent view, which was inactive, with no bar or any other facility on it. No parking space.

In the plus side. The breakfast was exellent in a really nice setting. When I arrived to the hotel the internet was not working but I complained and they fixed it right away.
It is a nice hotel with few incoviniences. The elevator is very small. The parking lot is small and far away from the hotel. The TV in the room is very old a did not work properly.

Breakfast was good. The location is one of the best and most expensive locations in Athens.
Even thought I have asked for early check in and confirmed it few hours before I flight, I arrived there and they didn't have any available rooms and made me wait for a couple of hours. They have asked me to go at the 1st floor where breakfast was being served and they charged me for having few fruits with my coffee (and the staff was having a loud argument for that in front of some other friends that were staying there).

The receptionist upgraded our room to one of the top floor with excellent view of the sea. The breakfast buffet was great!
A renovation would the lift the hotel. I didn't care about missing parking space, but this would be a problem to someone with a car, especially during summer

Everything. Didn't have time for breakfast but will try that next time. Front desk best service I have experienced in Greece. And free wifi that actually works!
Nothing. Liked everything. Location might not suit everyone as you need a car if you want to move around, but its only a 5/10 minute walk to a bus stop. Beach/cafes/tavernas all within 5 minutes walk.

Hotel was very comfortable and rooms were nice. We had a lovely big balcony and a view of the ocean. The reception staff were very helpful in all respects. It seemed just as nice as the Margi (opposite) which was about twice the price.
There was no pool, although it is close to the beach if that's your preference anyway. I thought that the rate was a little bit high for what it was, but that whole area is expensive so I guess to be expected.

The staff were excellent and went out of their way to facilitate us.
While perfectly clean, and everything functioned, some areas of the hotel would benefit from re-decoration.

excellent restaurant in the hotel with friendly service and great menues
The name Plaza Vouliagmeni Strand Hotel is somewhat misleading insofar as the hotel does not have direct access to the beach, located in a side street approx. 200m away from the sea. rather narrow bathroom
